MUHLENBERG ATHLETICS
BASEBALL CLUB
The Muhlenberg community’s first legion baseball team took to the field for the first time on June 4, 1966, sponsored by Charles Steele Post of Laureldale. Four years later, the late Charlie Noll and his Temple Youth Organization would take over the team. Hiring Dick Gochnauer as head coach, he fashioned the team after the Philadelphia Athletics. When the A’s moved to Oakland and changed their colors to green and gold, Temple followed suit.
In 1993 the Muhlenberg A’s formed their own organization, and the Muhlenberg Athletics Baseball Club was born. The organization’s first president would be longtime manager, Dick Gochnauer.
We would not be able to accomplish all we do if it was not for the support of the entire Muhlenberg community. To everyone who has participated in any way to help us get to this point… Thank you!

Each season the Muhlenberg Athletics Baseball Club fields 3 teams (19U Senior Team, 17U Junior Team, and 14U Junior B Division) to give boys ages 13 to 19 in the Muhlenberg community the opportunity to play baseball. If you are between these ages and want to participate, please sign-up today!
Ages: 13 – 19
Sign-up Fee: $400
Fee consists of:
- $100 Lottery Calenders ( 10 tickets @ $10 each)
- $100 Uniform Deposit
- $200 Team Fee
Lottery calendar money is yours to keep as you sell the tickets if you choose. Uniform deposit will be refunded once player hands in his uniform in good condition at end of season.
